Beavers kicked some butt in the civil war, yessss!!! I'm in Germany trying to get updates of the score as they happen in real time and let me tell you, it wasn't easy. =p Went to minor league hockey game here in Garmisch-Patenkirchen (sp.) and it was nuts. When the home team scored the entire place erupted, the people at the bottom row passed up this huge 50x100 team flag that went all the way up the stands, all kinds of giant flags busted out and they played some ridculous can-can music. Totally awesome.

Going back to England tonight, which is good. If I kept eating like I've been eating the last few days I'd be about 300 pounds come Christmas.

landed 40 minutes late in Atlanta, then I was able to speed through customs, but baggage claim took forever, and when I went to recheck my bags for my connecting flight (after going through customs) they said I was too late (by 3 minutes) and now the earliest they can get me to Anchorage is 1pm tomorrow instead of 8pm tonight. Great. I love spending my vacation in airport hotels by myself.

3 bloody minutes late... GRRRR, it just makes me soooo mad when I think about it!!!!

at least the hotel has 24 hrs of free internet.

So the cab is coming to pick me up in like 2 hours. Then my flight leaves London 6 hours after that (yeah im leaving pretty damn early). I stayed up all night so hopefully I can crash as soon as I get on the plane.

Can't believe I'm going to see Kelly so soon. I don't want to think past the next 18 days.

hopefully the cabbie can find my place =p He's got my cell # and I've got his just in case.

im pretty much packed. dont think im forgetting anything. I decided to forego my normal backpack + carryon and just go with the backpack. With all the security stuff lately I hear they've been real jerks about extra bags and stuff, esp here in the UK.

damn im getting tired... oh well, a nap is probably a bad idea =p

i have way too much crap. Especially old computer crap. I'm gonna throw out 2 old computers (maybe 3), and 2 CRTs (I seriously need to buy some LCDs to replace these bulky things) and an old stereo... at the very least. I think I need to ditch a lot of old clothes too. Maybe I should have done this BEFORE i shipped everything to England... =p

Trying to conquer the kitchen right now. I have like a million dishes to do and.... no dishwasher. UGH.

so I picked up my rental car from a guy named Steve off base. Driving on the left side of the road with the wheel on the right and the shifter on the left is kinda screwy. My dimensions feel all off, I keep thinking I'm farther to the left than I really am and I'm always worried I'm gonna run into things. Plus all the damn roads around here are windy and chaotic.

I'm sure I'll get the hang of it though. Just wish my stupid car would get here faster.

Anyway, I'm coming down with a light fever so instead of going outside and enjoying this sunny weather with a bbq and some beer, I am going to do some laundry and take a nap. I should probably call mom one of these days too =p

in PDX 8-11 May
Kelly and I are visiting Portland and Idaho the week of 8-16 May. We'll be in Portland from 8-11 May or so... If anyone wants to catch some lunch or maybe go out, give me a hollar!

Hope everyone is doing well.

I fly to England on 31 May and will be in London at like 1000 on 1 June. Sure is coming up fast.

Engaged
I know I haven't posted in over 4 months but I thought everyone should know the good news!!! =) I got engaged to Kelly on Thursday, 6 April!!!! More to come with dates and other stuff... (It seems to be everyone's favorite question ; ) )

Back from vacation. Had a great time. I should UL pics but I'm feelin pretty lazy. ; )

Grew out my beard a bit but have to shave before work on Monday. Oh well. I have some reddish hair in my beard, kind of interesting.

Off to Reno tonight... Then on to Orlando on Monday.

Get back the Friday before Thanksgiving... should be a sweet trip!

Halloween was great fun. I'll put some pics up when I get around to it.

Leaving for Reno on Thursday night, then hitting up Orlando the following Monday... I get back to AK the week before Thanksgiving. Should be a good trip.
